Broccoli and raisins — two often polarizing foods — get a makeover in this flavor-packed side dish. The nuttiness of the tahini (sesame paste) balances the fruitiness of the golden raisins for the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Finish it off with a squeeze of lemon for freshness, then watch the broccoli and raisin skeptics come back for seconds.
All of Anyday’s recipes are tested (and retested!) in many different microwaves and home kitchens to make sure they work — and work well.

What You’ll Need
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons golden raisins
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 cups (130g) broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons (28g) tahini
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- Salt, to taste

Preparation
- Add the raisins and water to the Anyday dish. Cover with lid (knob lifted).
- Cook in the microwave for 2 minutes, or until the water has mostly evaporated and the raisins are plump.
- Add the garlic powder, chili flakes, broccoli florets, salt, and pepper. Cover and continue cooking for 3 minutes, or until the florets are tender but still with a bit of a bite. Stir to coat.
- Drizzle the tahini and lemon juice over the broccoli and enjoy.
Serving suggestions & tips

Recipe notes
- If tahini is not available, try this recipe with almond, peanut, or cashew butter.
