To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Dish

The Small Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (150g) semi-sweet chocolate or white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup (140g) sweetened condensed milk
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Peppermint candy, crushed (as needed)

Preparation

  1. Place all the ingredients except the crushed peppermint in the Anyday dish. Cover with lid (knob lifted). Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the chocolate is melted.
  2. Mix ingredients until smooth and pour into a sheet pan lined with plastic wrap (or keep it in the Anyday if you prefer!). Sprinkle the crushed candy over the hot fudge mixture and allow it to set on the counter or in the fridge overnight.
  3. Cut into squares or your favorite shape and enjoy.

Suggestions

  • Try varying the extract (coffee, maple, rum, orange extract) and top with different ingredients (Heath bar crumbles, crushed graham crackers, chopped pecans, candied orange)
  • Drop a square of fudge into some hot milk for instant hot cocoa!

Recipe Notes

  • You can portion the fudge into the Anytime Freezer Trays for an easy pop-out treat.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
