Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

The Large Deep Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (454g) cauliflower, medium florets
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • teaspoons smoked paprika 
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Combine cauliflower, olive oil, smoked paprika, and salt in the Anyday dish. Toss to coat. Cover with the lid (knob lifted).
  3. Cook in the microwave for 4-5 minutes, or until cauliflower is fork-tender.
  4. Transfer the cauliflower to a baking sheet and broil for 2-5 minutes or until slightly browned. Keep an eye on it, since it may brown quickly!
  5. Finish with lemon juice. Customize as desired or check out some of our suggestions below.

Serving suggestions & tips

  • Top with freshly chopped cilantro, parsley, chives, mint, dill, or yogurt.
  • Add some black olives, and toasted almonds for a fun side dish.
  • Try as an omelet filling.

Recipe notes

  • If using frozen cauliflower add 1 teaspoon of water to get the steam going.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
