To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Dish

The Small Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (100g) nuts (walnuts, pecans, cashews, almonds)
  • ½ teaspoon vegetable oil

Preparation

  1. Combine nuts and oil in the Anyday dish and stir well. Cover with the lid (knob lifted).
  2. Cook in the microwave for 2 minutes. Stir and cook in the microwave for 1 minute, pausing and stirring every 15-20 seconds to ensure even toasting. Add additional time if necessary, until the nuts have a strong toasted aroma.
  3. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.

Suggestions

  • Sprinkle onto soups or salads for an added crunch.
  • Get nutty with your sundaes by adding a spoonful of these toasted nuts.
  • This is a great addition to any cheese plate.

Recipe Notes

  • Once cool, save in the Anyday with the knob down for up to 1 month.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
