To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons white miso
  • ¾ cup (200ml) water
  • 1 pack Momofuku Soy & Scallion Noodles
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper, divided

Preparation

  1. Place oil, butter, miso and black pepper in the Anyday and cover with lid (knob lifted). Cook in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until the butter is melted and the miso is lightly caramelized.
  2. Add the water, sauce packet, black pepper, and stir to combine. Add the noodles. 
  3. Cook uncovered for 4-5 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. 
  4. Serve immediately with extra parmesan, if desired. 

Serving suggestions & tips

  • Sprinkle some fresh parmesan or pecorino for extra umami.
  • Drizzle some balsamic vinegar at the end for a tangy touch.
  • Squeeze some fresh lemon juice before service to brighten up the flavor.
