¾ cup batter from prepared white cake mix (Miss Jones preferred)
½ cup (120ml) of evaporated milk
½ cup (120ml) condensed milk
½ cup (120ml) whole milk
⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
½ tablespoon powdered sugar
⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Strawberries, for serving (optional)
In a separate bowl, prepare the cake to the package directions. Grease an Anyday dish, and transfer the indicated amount of batter to the dish. Cook uncovered for 4-5 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
While the cake cooks, combine the evaporated, sweetened, condensed, whole milk, and salt until fully incorporated and set aside.
Keeping the cake in the dish, poke holes in the surface of the cake with a toothpick or skewer. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake. Refrigerate overnight, or until the milk has been fully absorbed and the cake is cold.
In a large bowl (or bowl of a stand mixer), combine cream, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. Whip on high for about 2-3 minutes, or until the cream is stiff and stands up on its own.
Cover the cake completely and evenly with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, if desired.
