What's so special about the Anyday?
Yes, Anyday is different than your average Tupperware container or Pyrex! Anyday’s patent-pending lid is safe for use in the microwave (yes, even the metal on the rim!) and designed to trap steam, keeping your food moist and evenly cooked.
The lid has multiple safety features: It vents excess steam when lifted, releasing pressure within the dish and avoiding splatters and explosions. The lid’s silicone rim is also flexible enough to safely and gently push up if the pressure in the dish gets too high.
Is the metal on the lid safe for the microwave?
Yes, you can put our lids in the microwave — even with the metal rim. We made them microwave-safe by using smooth, curved stainless steel.
Is there any plastic on the Anyday dishes or lids?
No! Anyday dishes and lids are 100% plastic-free, made from borosilicate glass, food-grade silicone, and stainless steel (yes, it’s safe to put in the microwave!).

Yes, you can put our metal in the microwave! We’ve designed the stainless steel in our lids to be 100% microwave-safe due to its smooth, curved shape.
Why should I cook food in the microwave?
When it comes to convenience, the microwave is king!
With the right equipment and settings, microwaving food doesn't mean sacrificing taste! It can be an efficient alternative to water-based cooking methods like steaming, poaching, quick braising, boiling, or stewing.
Microwaving is also a great complement to other methods, reducing cooking time before finishing a dish in the oven or on the stove. Anyday's recipes typically require only one dish, making cleanup easier.
Did you know? Microwave cooking is better for you! It preserves more nutrients compared to boiling or baking, as food loses nutrients when cooked for longer periods and at higher temperatures.
It's more energy-efficient, transferring more heat to food in less time than a stove or full-size oven.
What’s so special about the Anyday?
The steam-trapping lid ensures your food is evenly cooked and stays tender and moist. It prevents splatters, and the knob releases excess steam when lifted which reduces pressure. The lid's flexible silicone rim can also push up if pressure in the dish gets too high, a safety feature we built in!
Anyday’s bowl is made out of frosted borosilicate glass, so it's extra durable and thermal-shock resistant to handle large temperature fluctuations without cracking. The glass is frosted, so it looks beautiful on your table, too!
Both the lid and the dish are dishwasher, oven, freezer, and refrigerator-safe.
Is my Anyday dish fridge, freezer, and dishwasher-safe, too?
Yes, yes, and yes!
What’s the difference between Anyday and a Pyrex with a plastic lid?
Good question!
Our glass lid is thick, sturdy, and tight-fitting, which helps trap steam (which is essential when you're cooking in the microwave) and traps heat so your food cooks more evenly. By contrast, a plastic lid will warp quickly, which is not sturdy or long-lasting enough for cooking.
Second, our lid also has vents in the knob that allow just the right amount of steam to escape so that pressure doesn't build up. There's a safety feature in our lid that makes sure it never blows off dangerously. Plastic lids will seal too tightly and can explode off, so you'll have a lot of microwave splatters to clean up!
Third, and most importantly, plastic in the microwave is a no-go for us — according to Harvard, it's the one thing about microwaves that actually isn't safe (read more about the dangers of plastic in the microwave in our blog post.)
