Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

The Medium Shallow Dish


  • ½ teaspoon vegetable oil
  • ½ cup (60g) onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (1.8 ounce) Omsom Korean Spicy Bulgogi Starter
  • ¾ lb (340g) pork shoulder, thinly sliced
  • Toasted sesame seeds (Optional)
  • Cooked white rice, for serving


  1. Add the oil and onion into a clean Anyday and cover with the lid (knob lifted).
  2. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the onion has softened.
  3. Place the thinly sliced pork and Omsom Korean Spicy Bulgogi Starter in the Anyday and mix well. Continue cooking for 4-5 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the onions have become tender, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  4. Serve with white rice and garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.

  • You may substitute pork with beef, or chicken.
  • Use diced firm tofu for a vegetarian dish.
  • Top with green onion, cilantro, bean sprouts and other crisp vegetables like cucumber and carrot.
  • Cover with lid (knob in closed position) and marinate overnight in the Anyday dish for best results.
