To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Dish

The Medium Deep Dish

Ingredients

  • ½ lb (227g) cauliflower, medium florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Combine cauliflower, olive oil, smoked paprika, and salt in the Anyday dish. Toss to coat. Cover with the lid (knob lifted).
  3. Cook in the microwave for 3-4 minutes, or until cauliflower is fork-tender.
  4. Transfer the cauliflower to a baking sheet and broil for 2-5 minutes or until slightly browned. Keep an eye on it, since it may brown quickly!
  5. Finish with lemon juice. Customize as desired or check out some of our suggestions below.
