These lightly frosted jam-filled breakfast rolls make for a quick morning treat. Plus, this recipe calls for store-bought crescent rolls to speed up the process even more. Make with strawberry jam as directed or mix it up with a fruity jam of your choice and top with a delightful sweet cream frosting drizzle.
All of Anyday’s recipes are tested (and retested!) in many different microwave and home kitchens to make sure they work— and work well. Unless specified otherwise, all recipes should be cooked at full power.

The Medium Shallow Dish
Look no further for making poached eggs, desserts, dips, and small portions of meat or fish.
The Anyhand Mitts
Handle hot Anyday dishes with care with these microwave mitts that double as trivets!
Ingredients
For the rolls
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ package Pillsbury Grands Big & Buttery Crescent Rolls
- ¼ cup (75g) strawberry jam
For the sweet cream drizzle
- 4 oz (115g) sour cream
- ¼ cup (30g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
- For the rolls: Place the butter into the Anyday dish and melt for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Open the package of crescent roll dough. On a lightly floured large surface, position each triangular piece so the longest point is closest to you. Evenly spread the strawberry jam over the entire surface of each piece of dough. Starting with the pointy side closest to you, tightly roll the dough pieces, tucking in the sides to create a bun shape.
- Place the rolls in the buttered Anyday dish. Cook uncovered at Power Level 5tooltip for 5 minutes, or until the dough is bouncy and the buns have doubled or tripled in size. Remove the rolls and allow them to cool slightly (note: the dough will be pale but firm to the touch).
- For the sweet cream drizzle: While the strawberry jam rolls are cooking, mix the frosting ingredients in a separate microwave-safe bowl. Once the rolls finish cooking, heat the frosting in the microwave for 30 seconds and mix until it’s a smooth, creamy consistency.
- Once the rolls have cooled slightly, drizzle the frosting over the rolls. Pull apart and serve.
Serving suggestions & tips
- For an added twist, sprinkle some nuts or chocolate chips before rolling.
- Instead of strawberry jam, use any flavor you like such as blueberry, blackberry, peach, apricot, or grape.
Recipe notes
- You can also use Pillsbury Dough Sheet, instead of crescent rolls.
- Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
