To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Dish

The Medium Deep Dish

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) party wings
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup (70g) BBQ sauce

Preparation

  1. Place the wings, oil, and salt in the Anyday and mix well. Cover with the lid (knob lifted). Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes, or until the wings are almost fully cooked through.
  2. Drain the excess liquid from the Anyday dish, then add the BBQ sauce and mix well.
  3. Continue cooking with the lid slightly ajar for 1-2 minutes or until the wings are fully cooked.

Suggestions

  • Add some adobo sauce from a can of chipotle peppers for a smokier result.
  • Garnish with thinly sliced chives.
  • Top with some blue cheese and melt slightly in the microwave.

Recipe Notes

  • Optional: for sticky and crispier wings, transfer the BBQ-coated wings to a baking tray for crispy wings and finish under the broiler for a few minutes.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
