To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons high-quality cocoa powder (such as Guittard cocoa rouge)
  • teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup (120ml) whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Add all the ingredients into the Anyday dish and mix well, making sure to clean the sides.
  2. Cover with the lid (knob lifted) and cook in the microwave for 4-5 minutes, or until the batter is bouncy to the touch and still sticky on the edges.
  3. Allow the brownie to cool completely before serving.

Serving suggestions & tips

  • Substitute some of the milk with cold coffee for a richer brownie flavor.
  • Sprinkle your favorite candy, nuts, or pretzels over the top for a sugary twist.
  • Swirl melted white chocolate into the top of the brownie and add dehydrated raspberries or strawberries.

Recipe notes

  • For better results, mix the batter in a separate bowl, spray the Anyday with vegetable spray and pour the batter in it before cooking.
  • Don’t have high-quality cocoa powder? Replace the cocoa powder with melted chocolate chips.
  • For a boxed mix, follow the instructions on the back of the box and pour the batter into the Anyday. For Large Shallow:  Cook in the microwave for 4-5 minutes. For Medium Shallow: Split batter between two Medium Shallow Anyday dishes and cook in the microwave for 3-4 minutes. For Small Dishes: Divide batter among four Small Dishes and cook in the microwave for 2 minutes each.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
