Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

The Medium Deep Dish


  • 3 cups (60g) kale, stems removed and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons of water


  1. Remove the stems from the kale and cut them into thin slices. Note: you may skip this step is using pre-cut kale.
  2. Add the kale and water to the Anyday dish. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with the lid (knob lifted).
  3. Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes, or until the greens are tender but not overcooked.

  • Kale stems will take much longer to cook compared to the leaves. Be sure to remove the stem from the kale leaves prior to cooking.
