To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

The Medium Deep Dish

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (50g) riced cauliflower
  • 1 cup (90g) frozen spinach, partially thawed
  • 2 tablespoons water, chicken stock, or vegetable stock
  • salt, to taste

Preparation

  1. Place all the ingredients into the Anyday dish. Cover with the lid (knob lifted).
  2. Cook in the microwave for 5-6 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender.
  3. Using an immersion blender or blender, puree until the mixture is as smooth or as chunky as you desire. Season to taste.

Serving suggestions & tips

  • Add some butter for more flavor and texture.
  • Feed just as a puree on its own, or mix it with some cooked rice or other grains if you’re starting on chunky foods.
  • Serve with scrambled eggs or cooked meats.

Recipe notes

  • Freeze the pure in the 1/2 Cup Anytime Freezer Trays and reheat when needed.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
