To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Dish

The Medium Shallow Dish

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (88g) prunes
  • 2 cups (250g) blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons water

Preparation

  1. Place all the ingredients into the Anyday. Cover with the lid (knob lifted).
  2. Cook in the microwave for 3-4 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbly and the prunes have softened.
  3. Using an immersion blender or blender, puree until the mixture is as smooth or chunky as you like. Season to taste.

Serving suggestions & tips

  • Feed just as a puree on its own, or mix it with some cooked rice or other grains if you’re starting on chunky foods.
  • Serve on top of yogurt or cottage cheese.

Recipe notes

  • Freeze the porridge in the Anytime Freezer Trays and freeze for up to 1 month. Reheat as needed.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
