Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, butter or bacon fat
- ½ cup (60g) small diced yellow onion
- 1 can (14oz- 395g) cooked beans, such as cannellini, kidney, or pinto
- ½ cup (120g) BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 4oz can (113g) diced green chiles
Preparation
- Add the oil and diced onions into an Anyday Dish and stir to combine. Cover with lid (knob lifted).
- Cook the onions for 1-2 minutes, or until they begin to soften.
- Strain and rinse the canned beans, then add them alongside the remaining ingredients into the Anyday dish with the onions and stir to combine. Cover with lid (knob lifted)
- Cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the beans are hot and the sauce begins to thicken. Stir the beans and sauce until they form a thick and saucy consistency.
- Enjoy as is or top with chopped parsley if desired.
